PROJECT INFORMATION
This Solar Hot Water Plant Upgrade project, completed in December 2024, aimed to enhance the efficiency and reliability of the hot water system with state-of-the-art solar and water sterilization technology. JetBlack Plumbers was engaged to deliver a comprehensive solution, including risk assessment, installation of new equipment, and provision of essential documentation and management plans. Our team successfully managed the project from start to finish, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum operational efficiency.

SCOPE OF WORKS
- Completed on-site risk assessment to ensure a safe working environment.
- Disconnected and removed the existing hot water plant.
- Supplied and installed a Bion Silver/Copper Sterilization system on the outlet of the existing cold water meter, including extending the power supply and installing a lockable cage suitable for 200L/Min flow.
- Installed two Thermann Commercial Continuous Flow 32L Natural Gas units.
- Installed a Thermann Commercial Frame Assembly for dual 32L units.
- Supplied and installed a Thermann Commercial Accessories Box for 2-3x32 units with a storage tank.
- Installed a Thermann Commercial 315L Storage Tank.
- Installed a UV Disinfection Control Suite (Apt160/240).
- Installed a TEMPERMATE 160 Valve Warm Water System.
- Supplied and installed two Grundfos UPS32-80N Stainless Steel Dual Circulating Pumps.
- Installed a Thermann Commercial Solar Pre-Heat Kit (Th-04c).
- Installed an additional Thermann Commercial 400L Storage Tank.
- Installed two Thermann commercial flues penetrating out of the existing structure.
- Supplied and installed new valves, fittings, and temperature gauges as required.
- Applied Thermotec insulation to all hot and warm water pipework.
- Installed balancing valves for all hot and warm water return lines.
- Provided comprehensive AS-Built Drawings, O&M Manuals, and Flow Charts.
- Managed the removal of all rubbish and waste from the site.
- Delivered a Legionella Management Plan upon project completion.
