PROJECT INFORMATION

This project involved a meticulous risk assessment, comprehensive installation of RPZD, basket floor wastes, sink arrestors, and a 1000L inground grease trap. Additionally, all installations were thoroughly tested and commissioned, and the necessary certifications were submitted to Sydney Water, ensuring a seamless and compliant implementation.

SCOPE OF WORKS

On-Site Risk Assessment

  • Conducted a comprehensive risk assessment to ensure safety and compliance with regulations before commencing work.

RPZD Installation

  • Supplied and installed a 40mm Reduced Pressure Zone Device (RPZD) on the water meter line, reconnecting two 20mm lines for secure water flow control.

Basket Floor Wastes and Sink Arrestors

  • Supplied and installed two basket floor wastes, integrating them internally.
  • Installed four basket sink arrestors on sink wastes to prevent solid materials from entering the drainage system.

Trade Waste Management

  • Cut the floor at the back of the shop and ran trade waste under the external wall to the new grease trap location.

Grease Trap Installation

  • Supplied and installed a 1000L inground grease trap to efficiently manage grease and solid waste.
  • Installed a 20mm RPZD next to the grease trap for cold water runs along the wall adjacent to the grease trap.

Pipework and Vent Installation

  • Supplied and installed 6 meters of 100mm PVC pipe for the grease trap outlet, connecting it to the nearby sewer system.
  • Installed a 100mm vent on the wall next to the grease trap to ensure proper ventilation.

Cast Iron Lids and Concrete Work

  • Supplied and installed two cast iron lids for the grease trap.
  • Concreted around the grease trap and the trench for the inlet and outlet to ensure durability and stability.

Testing and Commissioning

  • Conducted thorough testing and commissioning of the installation to verify proper operation and compliance with standards.

Certification Submission

  • Submitted the necessary certification to Sydney Water to confirm the installation met all regulatory requirements.
