JetBlack Plumbers delivered a comprehensive scope of works for the pressure boosting pump replacement project at Jones Lang LaSalle's North Sydney site. From a detailed risk assessment and safe disconnection of old equipment to the installation of advanced pump systems and thorough testing, the project was executed with precision and attention to detail, ensuring reliable and efficient water pressure boosting for the client.

SCOPE OF WORKS

On-Site Risk Assessment

  • Conducted a thorough risk assessment to ensure safety and compliance with all relevant regulations before commencing work.

Disconnection and Removal

  • Safely disconnected and removed the existing pumps, control panel, and pipework to prepare for the new installation.

Installation of New Pumps and Equipment

  • Supplied and installed 2 Grundfos CR15-2 A-F-A-E-HQQE 3x230/400 50 HZ pumps, known for their reliability and efficiency.
  • Supplied and installed 2 Vasco 409 variable speed frequency drives, 4kW 415 volt 3 phase, which include overload protection, audible alarms, fault logging, dry run protection, and low and high-pressure alarms. This also included pressure transducers and wall mount kits.

Pump System Setup

  • Installed a dual pump system mounted on a painted steel base plate, complete with interconnecting 50mm pipework and valves, featuring 80mm suction/discharge connections.
  • Ensured pump motors were prewired to pressure sensors/switches and the electrical distribution board.
  • Fitted the pump system with a 60-litre 10 bar pressure vessel to ensure consistent water pressure.

Pipework Modification

  • Modified the inlet and outlet copper pipework to suit the new pump manifold, ensuring seamless integration with the existing infrastructure.

Test and Commission Works

  • Conducted thorough testing and commissioning of the new system to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Verified all components operated efficiently and met the required performance standards.
