PROJECT INFORMATION

Anglicare's Minto Gardens facility required a comprehensive upgrade to their sewer pump system to ensure efficient waste management and comply with modern standards. The project involved the replacement of the existing sewer pump system, including the installation of trench drains and a GRC pit, with all works meticulously planned and executed to minimize disruption to the facility's operations. This case study outlines the scope of works carried out to achieve a reliable and effective sewer pump replacement.

SCOPE OF WORKS

On-Site Risk Assessment

Conducted a thorough risk assessment to ensure safety and compliance with all relevant regulations before commencing work.

Service Locating and Preparation

Carried out service locating prior to concrete cutting to identify and mark any underground utilities, ensuring no disruption to existing services.

Trench Drain and Pit Installation

Supplied and installed 4 units of 300mm Aco K300 trench drains with stainless steel heel-proof grates, totaling 8 meters.
Supplied and installed a 600mm GRC pit with a light-duty grate.

Mechanical Excavation

Conducted mechanical excavation by hand to install new outlets for each trench drain, ensuring precision and minimizing damage to the surrounding area.

PVC Drainage Installation

Supplied and installed PVC drainage for the new stormwater trench drains and pits, connecting them to the nearby existing stormwater system as per the project plan.

Backfilling and Compaction

Backfilled the pipework using approved materials and compacted the soil to ensure stability and longevity of the installation.

Surface Reinstatement

Reinstated all concrete and landscape surfaces to their original condition, ensuring minimal visual impact and maintaining the aesthetic of the facility.
