SCOPE OF WORKS

On-Site Risk Assessment:

Conducted a thorough on-site risk assessment to ensure all safety protocols were in place.

Service Locating and Slab Scanning:

Performed necessary service locating and slab scanning to identify and map underground utilities.

Concrete Cutting and Removal:

Cut and removed six sections of concrete, each measuring 2m x 2m, to access the sewer service.

Manual Excavation:

Excavated manually to six junctions of the sewer main, approximately 1m deep.

PVC Pipe Installation:

Supplied and installed 6m of 100mm PVC pipe and 6m of 150mm PVC pipe to replace the existing pipework.
Installed six PVC junctions and four PVC inspection openings (two of 100mm and two of 150mm).

Pipe Relining Preparation:

Prepared the sewer pipes for relining, including jet blasting and sanding to ensure a clean surface.
Supplied and installed 4m of 150mm relining between junctions (one section from the edge of the building to the junction in the main line).
Supplied and installed 27m of 100mm relining between junctions (six sections).
Allowed for one 100mm robotic cut of a junction.

Backfilling and Reinstatement:

Backfilled the pipework using approved materials and compacted the excavation area.
Reinstated six sections of the concrete pathway.
Removed excess spoil and all concrete and earthenware pipework from the site.

OUTCOME

The project was completed on schedule and within the allocated budget, significantly improving the sewer infrastructure at Anglicare’s Begonia Court facility. The meticulous execution ensured minimal disruption to residents and staff, providing a robust and efficient sewer system.
